Realising that convenience is a significant attribute in today’s modern society, we were convinced that Birdz. would flourish in the fast food space. Being mindful of the social stigma of ‘Fast Foods’, where food is prepared and served quickly at low costs, we set out to research the benefits of Free Range chicken and USP’s that would revolutionise the concept of ‘Fast Foods’, and that Free Range is the SMART choice for a sustainable, healthy lifestyle!
To realise the convenience criteria, we designed a ‘mobile store’, fashioned from a new shipping container. Designing the kitchen space requirements together with Group CEO of Culinary, Wehrner Gustadt, we were able to develop a sustainable system, providing a healthy ecosystem and environment reducing negative human impact.
Being committed to personal social responsibility aspirations, Birdz. enables us to contribute to the South African economy at large by creating new job opportunities for young entrepreneurs, small businesses, autistic and physically disabled individuals. A goal to be realised during a third and final stage of the Birdz. concept. We aspire to philanthropic goals, funding underprivileged communities.
And so we fashioned the Birdz. Pod!

French imported rotisseries deployed to grill our birds, not only provide nutritional benefits including a good amount of phosphorous and potassium, three percent of the recommended intake of iron and one percent each of calcium and vitamin A, but creates theater in our Pods.
